Short Biography: Tariq D. Al-Saadi. M.D
Tariq Al-Saadi is a neurosurgical resident at McGill University-Montreal Neurological Institute in Canada. Graduated the first rank with distinction from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman in 2016. He is also a master's student in the Department of Experimental Surgery at McGill University with a research interest in IDH- mutated Glioma.
After completing his internship, he joined the Department of Neurosurgery at Khoula Hospital, which is the National Neurosurgical and Trauma Center in Oman.
Throughout his undergraduate and post-graduate years, he has been an active member of various surgical societies with a high passion for research and medical education.
Has been invited as a speaker to several national and international conferences, submitting proposals, presenting papers, and creating posters for both national and international neurosurgical events in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Russia.
He participated as a corresponding author in more than 20 publications and as a first author and co-author in more than 15 other neurosurgical papers. He is an editorial board member of the Gulf Research Collaboration Group (GRCG), which is established to conduct multi-centric high-quality research in the Gulf area. Dr. Al-Saadi is also an active editorial board member at Neurosurgical journals including Neuroscience and Neurological Surgery Journal, International Journal of Neurosurgery Journal, and Scholar Academic and Scientific journals. He was recognized as a reviewer by the “Reviewer Recognition Team” for the World Neurosurgery Journal (USA). He was invited as a reviewer at the Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences, World Neurosurgery Journal, McGill Journal of Medicine, Journal of Neuroscience in Rural Practice and Journal of Interdisciplinary Neurosurgery: Advanced Techniques and Case Management, Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal, World Journal of Surgical Oncology, Children and Journal of Tropical Pediatric.
He is a member of the Canadian Neurosurgical Society (CNSS), North American Spine Society, and Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) membership.
