Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine
Malie Collins is currently a third year medical student at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California and an M.S. in Medical Sciences from Boston University School of Medicine. After graduate school, she joined the medical virtual reality startup Surgical Theater and ultimately Stanford Health Care as Program Manager of the Stanford Neurosurgical Virtual Reality and Simulation Center. It was there that she developed her passion for neurosurgery, namely skull base and cerebrovascular neurosurgery. She focuses her current research efforts on acute ischemic stroke management and racial disparities in stroke.
