Yufan Yang is a medical student at Northwestern University-Feinberg School of Medicine (Class of 2025). He grew up in Woodridge, IL and graduated from Northwestern University with a double-major in Biological Sciences and Psychology in 2019. As an undergraduate, Yufan’s endeavors included research projects in nanotechnology and philosophy, tutoring undergraduate physics, and planning a large research symposium. Prior to medical school, Yufan also spent two gap years in Boston, working first as a cancer biology researcher at Harvard Medical School and then as a clinical research coordinator and resource specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital. Currently, Yufan's research interests entail exploring the intersection between the molecular biology and clinical outcomes of novel brain tumors, as well as the efficacy of current treatment protocols for understudied brain tumors.
