Alex Keister, B.S. is a medical student at The Ohio State University College of Medicine pursuing neurosurgery. Prolifically active in research, his principal interest is spine. He has also spent two years in Krystof Bankiewicz's lab, a pioneer in neurologic gene therapy, focused on the AADC deficiency clinical trials at UCSF. He enjoys academic neurosurgery most because of the opportunity to lead teams that make and live out the latest discoveries in neurosurgery.
