The University of Arizona College of Medicine
James Mamaril-Davis completed his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a 3rd year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson (UACOM-T). His interest in neuroscience stems from his grandfather, whom he cared for after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He furthered this interest in college by partaking in basic science research in epilepsy and clinical research in Huntington's disease. At UACOM-T, he is the president of the school's AANS chapter and continues to be involved with neurosurgery research related to epilepsy, vascular, functional, pediatric, and spine topics. He is an avid endurance athlete and enjoys training for triathlons in his free time, for which the 70.3 half-Ironman is his favorite event. He also plays chess every chance he gets.
