Miss Renuka Chintapalli BA, is a penultimate year medical student attending the University of Cambridge. She has conducted several biomedical and clinical research projects in the past, which has feel have provided her with solid foundation for future work: In the summer of her first year, Renuka worked in Cambridge characterising stem cells from progressive MS patients, presenting at various national and international conferences. Last year, she completed a projected based on finding longitudinal associations between cognitive and mobility decline using a large database of elderly patients. For this work, Renuka achieved a first-name authorship in the Lancet's EClinicalMedicine and was awarded first prize at the Cambridge University Student Clinical Research Society's annual symposium out of over 60 candidates. Renuka is currently working on projects in various areas of neurological surgery, including spinal and neurovascular surgery, in collaboration with research teams at different institutions across the US, with the aim of continuing to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
