Mike grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, and after attending medical school at Columbia University in New York, he completed his neurosurgery training at the University of California at San Francisco. After completing a fellowship in Sydney, Australia, he served as Director of the Brain Tumor center at the University of Oklahoma for 7 years. He has authored over 250 scientific publications, and 4 textbooks.
He moved to Sydney in 2018, and founded Omniscient Neurotechnology, an artificial intelligence startup company aimed at radically accelerating the evolution of our understanding of human brain disease and mental illness, and bringing these technologies to the clinic more rapidly.
