Hamsat Anwar B.S., is a second year osteopathic medical student at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Northwest at Lebanon, Oregon. Hamsat’s passion for neuroscience started in her third year of undergraduate studies at Portland State University Urban Honors College and this passion continued to grow as she pursued further research in neurosurgery at the Providence Brain and Spine institute in Portland, OR and The Oregon Clinic Neurosurgery under the supervision of Dr. Seth F. Oliveria MD, PhD. She attends AANS annual meeting for the first time this year to present her research findings regarding asleep DBS in patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
