Dr. Rig Das, is an Instructor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Nebraska MedicalCenter. Dr. Das received his PhD degree in Applied Electronics Engineering with European Doctorate Label from Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy, in April 2018. He has completed his Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering, in 2007 and 2012 respectively, from India. After completion of his PhD degree, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg (2018-19) and Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Denmark (2019-21). He was also a visiting researcher at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, in 2016. He is a member of IEEE and served as a reviewer for various IEEE Transactions and Conferences.
Dr. Das joined the Neurosurgery Department in December 2021 as an Instructor where he is working on Adaptive Neurostimulation to Restore Sleep in Parkinson’s Disease patients and provide guidance and mentorship to students in aspects of research. Dr. Das' current research interests are EEG Signal Processing, Sleep Study, BCI and Deep Learning. His other research interests are Biometrics, image and video processing, pattern recognition and machine learning.
