Makenna Ash, BA, is a 3rd year medical student at Emory University School of Medicine. She grew up in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin, before attending St. Olaf College where she played basketball, competed in track and field, and majored in Spanish. After college she worked for Dr. Laura Niedernhofer at the Institute for the Biology of Aging and Metabolism, University of Minnesota, as well as working for the Critical Care Clinical Research Center at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. She loves trail running, reading a good book, and crafting the perfect loaf of sourdough bread.
