Ishan Perera, BS, is a doctoral candidate for Osteopathic Medicine at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) Virginia Campus. Since high school, Ishan has worked to pursue a career in Neurological Surgery. This drive has led him to work alongside Dr. Jonathan Millard, faculty for the Anatomical Sciences, in his VCOM lab. This lab works alongside Conquer Chiari to investigate novel morphometric-based techniques and their utility in clinical decision making. Recently, he has co-founded the Health Observations, Lexicography, & Outcomes Laboratory (HOLO Labs), a student-run research lab that works on the behalf of the VCOM Simulation and Technology Center under the guidance of Dr. Fred Rawlins, II, to provide Osteopathic Students with more research opportunities.
