Wi Jin (Jason) Kim joined the UCLA Neurosurgery residency program in 2018 after graduating from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Kim obtained his bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology from University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Kim’s current research interests include cerebrovascular diseases, especially regarding cerebral vasospasm, for which he has been awarded NIH’s Research Education Program (R25) training grant. He is also involved in other research projects focusing on Moyamoya, intracerebral hemorrhage, treatment of cerebral neoplasms using cold activated plasma and Chiari Malformations. Dr. Kim plans to pursue a career in cerebrovascular neurosurgery, specializing in both open microsurgical and minimally-invasive endovascular approaches.
