Medical Student
Harvard Medical School
Ms. Samantha Sadler is an MS3 at Harvard Medical School, currently enrolled in a research year. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, she graduated from Duke University ('19) with a B.S. in both neuroscience and global health. During her time there, she received a grant to work with Duke Global Neurosurgery and Neurology, which involved collaborating on site with long-term partners at Mulago National Referral Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. She continues to pursue this academic intersection at HMS, working alongside both the Global Neurosurgery Committee (WFNS) and Harvard's Program for Surgery and Social Change (PGSSC) regarding neurosurgery policy recommendations in low-resource settings. Clinically, she is interested in intraoperative neuroimaging and neuromonitoring utility in tumor resections, which has thus far involved investigating outcomes at Brigham & Women's Hospital's AMIGO suite. Outside of academics, she is a certified group fitness instructor (with a particular love for indoor cycling), and she is working toward her Level 2 status in wine tasting. Finally, a unique passion project of hers is directing coordinating visual artistic projects spotlighting Harvard medical students living with illnesses, health conditions, and disabilities. She hopes to encourage institutional change through individual representation and expression.
