Dr. David Dadey, MD, PhD, MBA is a neurosurgery resident at Stanford University. He was born in Ghana, but grew up traveling between various countries in Europe and Africa due to his parents’ careers in diplomacy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Morehouse College, where he double-majored in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. He continued his pursuits in science and healthcare in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. There, he earned his MD and PhD while working in the laboratory of Dr. Dennis Hallahan, studying the interaction between radiation and endoplasmic reticulum stress in glioblastoma cell models. In 2022, he earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School Business, with a concentration in finance, public management and social innovation. He hopes to harness his combined skills in neurosurgery, scientific inquiry, and business management to engage in global health initiatives recruiting investment into expansion of neurosurgical healthcare infrastructure.
