Resident Physician

James is currently a resident physician at the University of Washington. He will complete his training in 2025, upon which he will pursue subspecialty training in Spine Surgery at Stanford University. His primary interest is in designing technologies that help both physicians and patients interact with healthcare systems. His current venture in SpineHealthie, a smartphone app that helps clinicians collect pre- and post-operative outcome data, streamline communication between patients and providers, and unlock new revenue streams for healthcare systems. James received a BS from Carnegie Mellon University, MD from Stanford University, and worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of health. His entrepreneurial pursuits include CareMessage (a non-profit supported by Y-combinator), Gliipmse (acquired by Apple Inc.), and Ciitizen (acquired by Invitae Corp.).
