Joshua Kurtz is a third-year medical student at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He received a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, where he performed research on nanomedicine drug delivery in a mouse model for Rett Syndrome. Before attending UCISOM, he spent one year at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in San Diego investigating molecular and clinical approaches to Alzheimer's Disease. Now, his current research interests involve neurosurgical simulation models, spine surgery, endoscopic endonasal pituitary surgery, and epilepsy research.
