Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Alex Devarajan, BS is a rising fourth year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai planning on applying to neurosurgery. Within neurosurgery, Alex has interests in pediatric and skull base neurosurgery. Alex is currently a recipient of the Scholarly Year Research Fellowship in Neurosurgery and has been working with the Pediatric Cerebrovascular Disorders Program at Mount Sinai under the mentorship of Dr. Alejandro Berenstein, Dr. Johanna Fifi, and Dr. Tomoyoshi Shigematsu. Alex also works closely with Dr. Raj Shrivastava in skull base neurosurgery and medical education research. In his free time, Alex enjoys training mixed martial arts, powerlifting, cooking, trying new food in NYC, and is currently studying for his Level 1 sommelier certification.
