Alexander Himstead, MD, is a neurosurgery resident at the University of California, Irvine. He graduated from Chapman University with a B.S in Biology Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in Biology. He attended UC Irvine School of Medicine where he was inducted into AOA and received the Vincent P. Caroll Jr. Award for Outstanding Research and the Christopher & Mehrangitz Award to Senior Student with Most Honors and Promise. His neurosurgical interests include brain tumors, epilepsy, connectomics, and translational brain mapping.
