Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Department of Neurosurgery
Christina P. Rossitto BS is a Cerebrovascular Research Fellow in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is focused on the application of advanced imaging techniques to optimize the surgical treatment of neurosurgical patients. Current projects include virtual- and augmented-reality for preoperative planning, CT perfusion imaging for intraoperative assessment, transcranioplasty ultrasonography, and MRI biomarkers for postoperative recovery. Her passion for innovation began before medical school when she studied Biological Engineering at MIT. In 2019, Christina received the Biological Engineering Department Pitch Competition First Place Award and, in 2022, she participated in the National Science Foundation Regional Innovation Corps Program. Christina served as the President of the AANS Mount Sinai Student Chapter from 2020-2021. She has been on the AANS/CNS CV Section Website Committee since 2020. She is originally from Buffalo, New York, and enjoys skiing in her free time.
