Hansen Deng, MD is a 4th year resident physician at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Deng graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degrees in oil-painting and biology at the University of California Berkeley. At the Brain Trauma Research Center in Pittsburgh, he investigates secondary pathophysiology of neurotrauma through multi-modality intracranial monitoring. Along with optimizing operative management of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury patients, his goal is to advance evidence-based clinical practices in the neurocritical intensive care unit.
