Kristie Q. Liu, MS, is an incoming fourth year medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She is currently working in Dr. Frank J. Attenello's lab at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute primarily conducting glioblastoma research in the chemoresistance of glioma stem cells. Kristie received a BS in Biochemistry and a minor in English at UCLA, where she conducted cytogenetics research in oncology, and an MS in Biomedical Research, with a specialization in cancer, from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain, where she worked at the Center of Applied Medical Research (CIMA) in the epigenetics of AML. She is an aspiring academic neurosurgeon and hopes to make meaningful contributions in neurosurgery and neuro-oncology research.
