Medical Student
Jordan University of Science and Technology
I am a dedicated 5th-year medical student at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, specializing in neurosurgical research with a keen focus on neuro-oncology and cerebrovascular surgery. My expertise lies in utilizing statistical techniques and machine learning to analyze and predict patient outcomes in various neurosurgical conditions. Through the application of these advanced methods, I aim to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of prognostic-centered treatment. My projects encompass the development of nomograms for predicting brain metastasis, survival rates in glioblastoma and cerebral glioma patients, and comparisons of treatment methods for intracerebral aneurysms.
Furthermore, I will be acting as a sub-intern at the University of Texas Southwestern within the neurosurgery department, where I look forward to gaining hands-on experience and further expanding my knowledge in the field
As an avid tutor and volunteer, I currently serve as the leader of a neurosurgery interest group comprising over 20 members and hold the position of NMO President in the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations - Jordan (IFMSA-Jo) with over 1000 hours of volunteering in advocating for human rights, public health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, etc. and ensuring the organizational sustainability of National Member Organizations (NMOs) in the Eastern Meditteranean Region. I am also a co-founder of a student-led research organization called Research Quest (RQ), which has successfully trained over 2000 medical students in Jordan, equipping them with essential research skills and fostering their interest in the field. In this organization we aim to provide students with a gateway into research opportunities within various medical fields, and build a network of professional and academic relationships that can help them achieve their research goals
