Mark M. Zaki, MD, MBA is currently a PGY-2 neurosurgery resident at the University of Michigan. Mark completed his BS in Neuroscience and BA in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh on a full tuition scholarship. As an undergraduate, he spent a year studying abroad at the University of Cambridge as the inaugural candidate for the Pitt Honors: Cambridge study abroad program. Mark then pursued his MD at Harvard Medical School and MBA at Harvard Business School. Mark’s interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, value-based healthcare, innovation, and cell therapy. Mark’s research has been featured in New England Journal of Medicine, Science Advances, Neurosurgery, JNS:Spine, and more. Mark has also worked with medical startups including Viz.Ai and GC Therapeutics.
