Neurosurgeon
Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, APHP, Paris , France
Dr Vincent Reina, MD; Neurosurgeon at Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, France.
I followed a five years residency of general Neurosurgery (2005 - 2011) with one year more (2009) for a Master 2 in Fundamental Neuroscience at the Sorbonne University (studying and establishing a new model of glioblastoma in Nude Mouses with a communication in 2009 Society of Neurosciences Congress in San Diego). In 2011 I presented and obtained my MD degree, working on the cervical occipital junction in achondroplastic children (Adv Tech Stand Neurosurg. 2014;40:295-312). I obtained my certification in general Neurosurgery the same year, with a work on the different approaches of the lumbar spine. Since 2011, I have been working in the Neurosurgical Department of Foch Hospital (2015-2021) and Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital (2011- 2015 and 2021 until now). My dedicated topics are spine surgery (with a special interest for endoscopic approaches in spine surgery), intra medullary tumors surgery and cranial base surgery.
Lately, as many neurosurgical teams in the world, I am interested on the potential contributions of robotics in spine surgery.
My hobbies are sports (running, cycling, soccer), reading, and cinema.
