Research Fellow
Department of Neurosurgery, Medical College of Wisconsin
My name is Akram M. Eraky MD; I graduated from Alexandria University Medical School and worked as an intern and resident physician for 2 years at Alexandria University. Additionally, I completed a one-year research fellowship with the University of Wisconsin-Madison before becoming a research fellow in the Medical College of Wisconsin's department of Neurosurgery.
I am particularly interested in neuro-oncology and neuroradiology and my areas of research focus on non-coding RNAs as biomarkers, the potential for non-invasive imaging modalities to distinguish between brain tumors without biopsy, and the new advances in CSF dynamics. I am honored to be attending AANS to share my research with Dr. Hedayat on cisternostomy as a possible surgical treatment for pseudotumor cerebri.
