Christine K. Lee, MD, PhD is a Skull Base Fellow and Clinical Instructor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. She obtained her MD and PhD in Neuroscience at Stanford, after which she underwent neurosurgery residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital with a research focus on neuron-glioma interactions in collaboration with Dr. Dan Cahill.
In her fellowship at Stanford with Dr. Juan Fernandez-Miranda, Dr. Lee is pursuing training in expanded endoscopic endonasal and transcranial skull base approaches, with the ultimate goal of providing outstanding surgical care to patients with brain tumors, pituitary lesions, and skull base pathologies. Her research interests encompass surgical innovation and translational research in neurosurgical oncology, with collaborative projects currently underway at Stanford on targeting mechanisms of invasiveness and radio-resistance in chordomas and developing novel imaging tools for the localization of functioning pituitary adenomas.
