Georgios A. Zenonos was born and raised in Cyprus. He completed his medical school at the University of Athens, finishing as valedictorian. After a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Brigham and Women's hospital he began his neurosurgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center which he completed in 2018 along with an infolded Skull Base surgery fellowship at the same institution. He also completed a post-graduate Skull Base and Cerebrovascular fellowship at the University of Miami with Drs Jacques Morcos and Roberto Heros in 2019. He then returned at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he is currently Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgical Co- Director of the Center for Skull Base Surgery, the Neurosurgery Skull Base Fellowship, and the Pituitary Center of Excellence. He is also the Director of Clinical Operations at UPMC presbyterian Hospital. He's clinical scope invovles skull base and tumor surgery and open cerebrovascular neurosurgery,
