Wenya Linda Bi, MD, PhD, FAANS is a skull base and brain tumor neurosurgeon at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, USA. In addition to her passion for the surgical treatment of complex intracranial tumors, she leads a research team focused on the translational biology of central nervous system tumors, quantitative imaging analyses of these tumors to predict their biological signatures, and refining advanced intraoperative neuromonitoring and mapping techniques. Her group developed a molecularly Integrated Grade for meningiomas, with strong association for their clinical outcome, and seeks to identify new molecular targets for novel therapies for aggressive skull base tumors. A central driver across her research efforts is to translate knowledge learned from advanced technologies to be transparent, scalable, and accessible to a broad audience globally, irrespective of local resources.
